The bike loop follows the road east to Siaconset, then goes north by the Sankaty Lighthouse, by Polpis and back to Nantucket. Siaconset is a quaint small town at the eastern end of the island. |

 At Siaconset there is a small beach with a wild rose hedge all along the edge. |
 Typical Siaconset cottage with rose trellises on all sides. Most all large homes and cottages have trellises. Even homes under construction on the island are being built with the trellises and arbors and perhaps a wrap around deck on the roof.. |
